First national and international exhibition on the industry of Fishing, Aquiculture, Food, Products and Derivative Services.

A relevant business meeting of international level for the exhibition of the latest tendencies in the industry of processes, logistics and services concerning the production of sea food. Companies that deal with catch, process, preservation and services; banks and finance companies, official organizations, Exporters, Importers, Wholesalers, Distributors, Aquiculture, Chambers of Commerce, embassies among others will meet in one place during four days, in order to show their activity, create new business and take part in the debate sessions about the present and future of the Industry.
Expopesca Fishing Show offers a unique environment to concentrate the main referents of the Industry and their marketing chain, right in the Argentinean Fishing heart: Mar del Plata.

General Characteristics.

Expopesca Fishing Show will have a main area with traditional fishing, aquiculture, business and institutional stands. There will be rounds of business, international conferences, a dynamic exhibition area, a gastronomic area, a sport fishing area, a space for the host community of Mar del Plata plus all necessary elements to prove the potential and capacity of this Industry.

Mar del Plata: Main fishing port in the country.

The port of Mar del Plata, located 400km away from the city of Buenos Aires, is the main fishing port of the country and the one with the highest growth. It represents 60% of the fishing industry in Argentina. It is also the main frozen fish, seafood and shellfish exporter. It offers general loading services and is strongly connected to the international markets, such as China, Spain, USA and Brazil. Its container loading system has been constantly growing and developing since 2001 and it currently transports more than 130,000 tons and 5,000 containers average annually. The city of Mar del Plata has more than 150 fish processing plants. It is the fishing cluster with the highest fish processing capacity of the country, and one of the biggest in the world. 318 fishing vessels of all kinds have their base in Mar del Plata, which also offers a great hotel infrastructure, with various cultural and tourist activities which turn the city into a “postcard”.
